As intriguing as that offer is, I don’t think the Canes would go for that. Canes will only move Necas if a roster upgrade is coming back. And at 7OA this year, whoever is selected probably won’t even make the NHL for 2-3 years. The Canes are competing for the cup, not looking to rebuild.

A very intriguing proposal, and I think Ottawa and Carolina would accept, but now I’m not so sure Minny would accept. But hey, you never know. If I’m the Canes I would do that.

Wild fans on here have been vocal about accepting that 7th OA + Roby Jarventie or Jacob Bernard Docker level prospect. A late 2nd is not as good but the difference is at least close.
