Palat's gonna be gone in FA.
The youngsters, and Hagel are gonna need to step up and replace that production.
Hedman, Stamkos, McDonagh, Killorn are all on the wrong side of 30.
They could and maybe should have more than 2 Stanley Cups won with the Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman core.
2015, 2018 and 2019 were all years that they could've won the cup. 2016 they also could've made the Finals, but they were dealing with a lot of injuries.
Besides the Panthers series, the playoffs have been rough:
Hedman has had some brutal games against both the Leafs and Rangers.
Sergachev hasn't had a great playoffs either.
Hagel has been playing hurt.
Kucherov has made a lot of simple mistakes.
Killorn is still has zero goals in the 2022 playoffs.
Aside from Game 7 against the Leafs and the 4 games against Florida Vasy has allowed at least 3 goals in other games. (Some of it is on him Some of it is on the defence)
We saw signs of maybe this team is gonna have a slight drop off after a bad stretch late I the season.
Cirelli is an RFA after the 2022-23 season. I don't see him getting much of a raise unless he improves his offensive production. I don't see Cernak another 2023 RFA getting much of a raise either. Sergachev probably gets a mild raise, but probably no more than 5.5 million unless he has a spectacular season.
