Mike Smith belongs in the beer league

Kane will get much more

Wishful thinking on those trades

I doubt Kane will get much more than that. Teams stay away from controversial players, especially ones so egregious as him. EDM only grabbed him because they were desperate for skill in their playoff push and he was cheap, skilled, and motivated. He is fairly limited in his options of teams that want him, can afford him, and will also be competitive next year. I highly doubt he wants to play for a bottom feeder team at this point in his career coming off a hot playoff run. Plus he did just get a bunch of money on that buyout, so he won't be so worried about money right now. He is undeniably a great hockey player, but he should not be allowed to play in the NHL after everything he has done.

I wouldn't be opposed to taking back Keith for the last year of his contract and beyond if he wants to continue playing at a more affordable cap hit. He could teach young players on a rebuilding team A LOT. But he went to EDM to be near his kid. I doubt he turns down the last year of his contract in favor of retirement. If he does retire as a Blackhawk, it will probably be like Hossa, with a one day contract a few years down the road.

You clearly have no understanding of player values, or just straight up hate certain ones irrationally. The Ottawa trade is a joke and Keith isn't waiving his NMC to go back to Chicago.
