Pasta deals id consider

Created by: Dekes
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 7, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
All these deals are taking into consideration that pasta agrees to an extension pre trade, but even if he doesn't pasta has a NMC so if he waives to your team that basically shows he'd be willing to work on one. He has a 10 team no trade list

I see a lot of comparisons to eichel trade but they aren't really similiar at all.

1. Eichel wanted out and forced himself out, that is huge in general to the type of package a player will get
2. Post extension pastrnak will still be getting 2-1 mill less then eichel, so he will come at a cheaper cost that is less detrimental to a teams cap like tavares and karlsson's contracts
3. both have had somewhat of an injury history but pasta got a relatively casual surgery that lots of players had, eichel got a surgery that no professional athlete has ever done. their definitely more of a risk with eichel that pasta in terms of health

fair enough, i was kinda iffy about adding it because NYR in that weird spot where they are very competitive but also have a long of young players so i was unsure if they would want to loose out on youth in hope that these acquistions would give them high odds for the next few years to win the cup

Yeah as far as the players involved K’Andre is probably getting very close to that untouchable category for the Rangers(if he’s not already there) and Chytil and Kakko are starting to show some promise but the idea of putting Pasta on a line with Bread is so intriguing. Biggest problem with NYR for this scenario would be making it work with their cap crunch is why they’d have to probably decline

Interesting from the Flyers. Chance they accept but any way you would do Konecny over Farabee with that second round pick removed

Like that you mentioned that. Throughout the years the Bruins have been very good with contract management and getting good players on team friendly teams. But they paid top $$$ for McAvoy IMO. If others see McAvoy getting I believe the 4th highest Dman $$$$, maybe the 8th best winger in the league Pasta (I'm kinda guessing), you would think he's wants t fair market $$$$.

my only issue with paying pasta... is the stats and the eye test dont matchup. hes over ppg in the playoffs and almost ppg for his career and yet you wouldnt have known based on his on ice production in the carolina series he was almost ppg. hes like a ghostly ppg player if you get what i mean. hes not dominating opponents or maintaining heavy play driving.

Why do your trade proposals have no consistency? You ask for two young roster players from the Islanders and two first-round picks, and then ask for two young roster players from the Kings and only one first-round pick? The Islanders' pick is much higher too.

turcotte and kaliyev in my opinion have higher potential then wahlstrom and beauvillier. Also Turcotte is a center which B's need more down the pipeline and C's also just hold more value then wings. Kaliyev and wahlstrom i think have similiar potential

I hate to say this to you, but look at what Mark Stone got. You'll get a little more since it's a full year vs. the deadline, but Stone with an extension only got a recent 1st round pick, a bottom-6 forward, and a 2nd round pick. You'll get more, but not much more than that.

stone was half the player he was in ottawa then in vegas. stone just started to breakout where once he got vegas he became one of the best defensive players in the league and became in my opinion more offensively talented. Pastrnak already broke out everyone already knows who he is and what he could do for a franchise. Also another thing was ottawa was breaking down hard the team chem was bad because all the karlsson and hoffman stuff and even now looking back ottawa sold very low on stone they could have got quite a bit more.
