Why would the Canes consider that awful trade for Necas. I also doubt Seattle takes that.

The Canes aren’t trading quality assets just for a shot at Bedard. It’s not even guaranteed that the Habs even get the 1OA pick. If you want a team that would make that trade, just look at Pittsburgh.

That MTL trade is awful. If you want to take a risk at 2C (Which Gourde is) just give Necas the shot. He's younger and didn't have major surgery last summer. This is a major step backwards.

Necas is not a quality asset. He will be traded this off-season simply because he wants a center roll and we have no room for that unless he would like to be a 4th line player. Why not take a 1st and have that 1st be a shot at Bedard. You act like the Hurricanes would not do something like this, the Habs would be the ones to decline the trade.

Necas does not fit our system buddy, how can you be a Canes fan and sit here and say we should hold on to Necas who is just a skill guy. We need grit, why not take a risk at gourde who is a more gritty Tro, and some would same just as skilled.

No from Montreal. Absolutely not losing our chance on Bedard unless you offer us Aho, Svech or Slavin

LOL what? So how come in the previous two years he was a Hurricane full time, he was one of the most electric players on the ice, but the one year he was sent to the 4th line, he struggled? This isn't a Necas issue, it's an issue with how he was handled. He needs to be given a shot at C where he naturally fits. Even if it is just temporary to rebuild his confidence, the upside he has is 100% worth keeping around buddy. He's a pure skill guy, ya. And when a pure skill guy is going, they can win you series. You think McDavid is going to knock someone's teeth out or lay a big hit? Draisaitl? Gaudreau? Exactly.

Bedard or Michkov is worth more than every player on the Canes franchise combined. Youd have to add Aho, Svech and like your next 10 years of 1st rounders

Big disagree. What a player *MIGHT* be and what a player *IS* are two very different things. Bedard could be the best player drafted since McDavid. He could also break his leg and never play hockey again. Aho *IS* an 80+ point scorer with a rather stellar bill of health, only ever having missed 7 games due to injury (missed time this year to COVID). What a 24 year old is as a PPG player > what an 18 yr old could be imo.

Aho could get hit by a truck and die tomorrow if we are using your logic.

He could. However, the limiting factors for Aho are fewer than the factors for Bedard/Michkov. They might just Patrik Stefan is at never be good, Naill Yakupov it. Aho is an 80+ point producer. They won't be that for at least a year from now. So, right now, that 1st would need a LOT more than just itself to get any of the Canes core.

I think we should stop with the exaggerating here, the guy before said something also far fetched but we don't have to keep escalating

Aho could legit pull a Joe Juneau and never hit 50 points ever again. Bedard is as sure of a thing as Mcdavid was. Comparing him to Yakupov or Stefan as prospects is like comparing Sidney Crosby to Tyler Biggs

Trading for Bedard is like trading for McDavid being payed his elc for 3 years. Please tell me who the hell the hurricanes could offer for that

No prospect is a sure thing. You forget how hyped Yak was. Yak was supposed to be another world class talent. At the end of the day, no one that hasn't played in the NHL has more value than a PPG centerman. To say they do it complete idiocy

Yak wasnt even supposed to go 1st ovr. Only did because of injuries to Galchenyuk and Murray
