I know I'm on record saying Josh Anderson isn't an insanely valuable player but you realize you're retaining that $2.75M for 5 more years, right? You're basically carrying a second pair D cap hit for 5 more seasons just to get a marginal upgrade in goal, a prospect with questions marks attached, and a fine player but not a superstar in Nils Lundkvist. I think that's a bad trade for the Habs.

I don't think 2.75M would be a problem long term with the cap raising 1M a year, Alzner's 833k off in 2 years and Drouin + Byron on their last year and only Caufield maybe to sign to a big contract.

yeah 1.5 mil seems to be the max if habs were to retain on Anderson, a 20 goal speedy power forward for 4 mil for the next 5 years isnt a bad deal, maybe on the last year if he starts to slow down, the georgiev one is maybe a gamble for a starter until primeau or if somebody else steps up. the deals seems fair, NYR might add a bit tho cuz 1.5 over 5 year isnt nothing. Maybe switch Lundkvist for a 1st (2022) and a 2nd next year.

I thought of adding a pick on the rangers side but wasn't sure which one so I sent it like that to have some opinions on it.
