<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>Seriously? For Lundell. 6'1 center picked 12th OA who plays a 200 ft game and has offensive upside for days, you won't trade a defender you plan to play on your 3rd pair because he can fight in a league where fighting is disappearing?</div></div>
just OS or trade them assets they could use at next tdl, maybe their own pick and our 2nd with Engstrom, so 2 picks between 20-40 and another top 4 Dman that'll be on a elc.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>Sure he is. Are you playing him in the top 4 in the next 2 years? So then please tell me where you are sending Hutson, Reinbacher, Matheson, Guhle? Cause that's the top 4 of this team and when Matheson moves on, Mailloux, Struble, or Engstrom will take his spot.
Why are you so sure Xhekaj is a top 4 player, and if he's not, why is he not expendable for a top 6 center?</div></div>
Xhekaj could be a version of Roy, plays in 3rd line but can go up and down in the lineup. Struble also doesnt bring what Xhekaj brings and thats law and order on the ice, I doubt that 6'3 220 players would be afraid of 6 ft 200 Struble in a fight, but would be less inclined to fight a 6ft 4 230 Xhekaj, imo. Struble, Harris and Engstrom are the ones that dont fit long term imo.

what does preds fans have to do in the panthers trade?? and why would we trade Xhekaj for Lundell? im sure some other prospects would be much better, or picks, or even an OS lmao

maybe some teams would, but habs have Montembeault and Primeau, who are both solid, but playing on a team with a young defense, and also have a couple of prospects too.

its just that Crosby trains with Barron in the off season, and a RD, but there would be less picks but if Crosby has a say I'd guess he'd want Barron over a LD, pickering already has that top 4 LD spot.

I feel Crosby would want Barron, which i would be willing to give in a move up trade, getting those 2 will be great for the top 6, on D we got Reinbacher and Mailloux that could be on the top 4.

1st move I'd make is trade for a goalie though

Connelly over Catton is bold I agree, but I think Connelly is a top 5 player in the draft. I don't even value character much while making rankings. Based off talent alone, Connelly is up there. I do love Catton as well but I believe he's this year's Benson. Super skilled kid but falls due to size.</div></div>
Catton is 5'11 and 165lbs, Connelly is 6'1 163, the size diff isnt that big imo, Catton could easily end up at 6 ft 180, same as Connelly but 1 inch smaller.

Harris and Ylonen are not interesting for ANA at all
The ‘24 MTL 1st could be depending on who falls there (this would be a draft floor trade) but I imagine if the players Verbeek would consider (Lev and Lindstrom) were available, MTL would prefer to just make the selection. Zegras isn’t going anywhere</div></div>
Lev and Lindstrom arent falling past 5. I'd be fine with moving the pick if its in the 6-9 range, prob gotta add a bit (habs), but if we get top 2, its def one of Celebrini and Lindstrom, even though Demidov is better than Lindstrom imo.

because they could trade that pick to upgrade somewhere else, a high 2nd pick is worth more or less a 1st rounder in the 28-32 range

Helenius and Catton would be great adds, but also Iginla as he plays with more grit, but less talented.

He's 34, Montembeault is already solid enough, heck he even steals too many game at this point for us to get a top 5 pick.

Pettey for McCarron and Jankowski
Pettey for Pageau and Maclean
Pettey for Kastelic and Hamonic
Pettey for Krug
Pettey for McMann and Reaves
Pettey for Barron and a 6th
All of these trade seems fair to me, unlike the ones in this post.

Who do we get in the first round
I hope one of Celebrini, Demidov or Lindstrom, Catton is fine too but the first 3 i mentionned would be great. Gotta get a top 4 pick, which is realistic rn if we lose more like this. Iginla is a no-no in the top 5, if we drafted 8-10 sure ig
