Fresh New Quinn Cozens Peterka Line

Created by: Archarte
Team: 2022-23 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 10, 2022
Published: Jun. 10, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
That third line has the potential to be a serious threat once the freshmen find their pace in the big league. With the added depth on the Blue Line and in Goal, this should give all the forwards a little more freedom to take chances. Could they finally be in the fight for a playoff spot after so many years in a rebuild?

I think I can finally say with confidence that the Sabres are going to be scary very soon

Like your signings, think you went a little long on Gubs and a mill to much. And would switch him and Joker. Be nice if Johnson did sign

I understand what you are going for, but that second line would get absolutely crushed. None of them is even remotely competent defensively, and none are possession drivers. There's a reason why individually those three only have average to positive numbers when playing with either Asplund or Tuch. Cant have all 3 on the same line. Cozens can hold his own, but not with two rookies. Gotta give him either Asplund or Tuch on the wing so he can take the next step offensively without feeling overburdened on the defensive end.

Asplund over Olofsson would help

-Trade Mitts + picks/prospects for Fiala, DeBrincat, etc
-Olofsson was a fit on the Tage Skinner line, so that lets us move Tuch to the Fiala (or whoever) line
-let Krebs dish up the goals for the kids like he did in the AHL playoffs

Skinner-Tage-Olofsson
Fiala-Cozens-Tuch
Quinn-Krebs-Peterka

That’s a legit top9 imo
And it’ll only get better as the youth develops

They've gotta find a way to replace one of olofsson/mittelstadt with a version of them that isn't swiss cheese defensively.

I’d rather have Fiala, and i don’t think it’s close
DeBrincat would be a dream, but he’d also cost the most
I’m not settling for Crouse just bc he’s cheaper & tougher
We’ve got plenty of picks
No reason not to spend a little more to get the best player

Not saying that, of course I would take Fiala or Cat, Crouse would be a nice add if they get to expensive

Crouse is a fine player
But what makes u think ARZ will even be looking to trade him?
He’s still young, and not gonna cost a ton to lock him up long term- Olofsson $$$ maybe?

Cause he has been in rumors since last year, heard 2nd and a B prospect, of course he just popped 20 goals so if they are still trying that price could have changed.

I’d certainly do it for a 2nd & “b” prospect
But i think you’re right that the price for him has gone up

Him, Nichushkin, Burakovsky could add so much to this team.
