to start at the Draft we go D because that's the weak spot in our prospect depth, either Mintuko or Korchinski if they fall.

Simek will be dealt he wants out of San Jose and is unhappy, Labanc will be dangled for a bag of pucks and a Horton's coffee.
Balcers, Nieto, Bonino, and Dahlen are interchangeable and we have too many players/ prospects similar them anyways, I would assume maybe 2 or 3 get traded to free up cap space. Balcers and Dahlen seem most likely as they have the highest value due to upside and youth.
Hill or Reimer get moved, Hill for a 4th/3rd or Reimer for a 2nd plus a prospect seems reasonable.
Burns or Karlsson one of those two most likely get moved and our interim GM already stated they are available and they are listening to offers.

That leaves our needs at a top 6RW goal scorer for Eklund & Couture.
Skilled big winger to protect Bordeleau and for him to feed the puck to.
top 4 LD (unless Knyzhov is really recovered from injury and NHL ready again, though a 1 year rental as insurance wouldn't hurt)
top 4 RD (to replace Burns or Karlsson once/if one is dealt)

But our Biggest need is for Vlasic to get his head out of his rectum and realize he is still a highly paid hockey player and not a spectator and get to work.

Trade as many of Balcers, Bonino, Reimer, Nieto, Burns, LaBanc, Simek as possible.

And then we can see what we have next summer (likely a Vlasic buyout)

EDIT: If Kemell drops to Sharks I want him, high scoring right shot RW. One of the things sharks desperately need is scoring and right shot

I really like your plan. It's all logical. I think we go for the best player on the Draft which would be available, no matter defensman or forward.

normally yes but we’re weak on top end D talent and 23 has a really weak D class, and this years is much stronger.

We really need a stay-at-home defensman, so why should we spend the first round on him? This one can be traded/signed as a free agent. This draft is going to be deep, and you can pick a defensman in both the second and third rounds.

Mintyukov has top line offensive skill speed and inteligence, His D needs improvement but it’s already been improved, he started the year looking like a LW playing D and ended the year looking at the very least serviceable as a D man. he has all the skill and ability to be a top 4 two way guy with coaching if not top line guy. and stay home D men and much easier to find in 2-5 rounds of the draft.

I like Mintyukov, but we don't know plans of other 10 teams before us. Let's see.

he projected 10-16 so fingers crossed, Him or Korchinski should be available, a lot of drafts have Korchinski or Matechyuk going 10 to Anaheim, if that happens we get to choose, i do not want Matechyuk so I’m hoping he is gone but Korchinski or Mintyukov either one would be good for us.
