I’ve seen Tyson Barrie traded to the Isles on this site too many times now - Isles is probably the worst trade partner for Barrie. Isles already got a RD side with Ryan Pulock, Noah Dobson and Scott Mayfield.

When did Tyson Barrie to the Islanders become a thing? You know they have Dobson and Pulock, right? Who is going to spend assets for a $5m defenseman to put them on the third pair? Especially when their cheap 3rd pair RHD is perfectly cast right where they have him, and they have actual holes to fill elsewhere?

Stop. Just... STOP

Fun is one thing...unrealistic proposals that are repeated ad-nauseam are another. How about Islander fans post trade proposals like "Bailey to the Oilers for their 1st rounder" multiple times a day for weeks on end? I'm sure you would get tired of it as well.

The Islanders were dealing with a flat cap due to covid and had to pick one of Toews, Pulock and Pelech to let go. Imagine having depth like that on the back end... I'm sure it's hard for you to picture. Thanks for Barzal by the way. How is that Nurse contract looking?

The islanders have 3 top pair defenseman in their prime , it’s insane to think the isles would trade a 2nd rd pick for a washed up defenseman like Barrie

Pelech and Pulock are both top 20 D in the league.

Noah Dobson had an elite season at 21 YO, he’s already top pair caliber

LOL you traded away the best D. Toews has more points than both your 'top 20 D' combined.

Points are a terrible way to evaluate defenseman. Toews point production increased because he plays with multiple superstars.

Was Tyson Barrie better than Devon Toews last season because he had more points than him?

It doesn’t matter if Toews had more points, both Pelech and Pulock are in the same tier of defenseman. The isles are lucky that despite the terrible trade, they still have 3 top pair D .

And why do they get upset when i "pretend" to be a GM?

You're really going to try dunking on the Islanders for trading Toews when they clearly didn't want to, but were forced because of the COVID flat cap? When Edmonton traded Barzal for Griffin Reinhart without being forced? The Islanders have three defensemen better than anything on the Oilers AFTER being forced to trade Toews.
