2022 Oilers Offseason Trades and Signings

Created by: AHockey1993
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 11, 2022
Published: Jun. 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tried to find value trades and offload bad contracts. Improved forward depth and goaltending. Defense still needs work, especially on the right side. I don't envy the Oilers or Ken Holland trying to figure this out.

Bro I forgot to re-sign Kulak lmao WHOOPS. Would have him instead of Reilly, and try and find a different trade partner for Barrie.

Yes. ANd if Yamamoto is the 1st line RW answer. Holland would really have failed his job.

True. They really need a true top-line RW. I'm hopeful that someone like Yamamoto can break out offensively under Woodcroft for a full season.

Why would the Habs consider that. Evans is a good 3C and signed to an incredible deal. Probably the ONLY Hab not in an entry level contract on a good deal.

Center > LW, better contract, more points. Basically the only thing Foegele has on Evans is he's taller

I was mostly basing the trade on point production. Obviously the Habs wouldn't make that deal. I'd probably re-do it and have the Oilers send a prospect/draft pick

Regardless of anything, find a different trade partner for Barrie. There is no scenario where the bruins would take him.

Bruins are short on RD, Right-Shot defensemen. They also need some offensive help back there. Barrie might be a fit.

Hahaha what? Its literally the teams biggest position of strength. Its not hard to just click on the team pages and look at the bruins bud.

Their biggest position of strength is LD. Not RD. Their right side is weak. They have McAvoy and Carlo, but after that it gets dicey. Left side they currently have Lindholm, Grzelcyk, Reilly, AND Forbort.

Oilers are in a **** situation. All draftpicks are gone (Holland throwing out 2ds and 3rds out of the window in AA and Kulikov trade. good job moron, now you´re stuck in ****).
And Kassians contract HAS to go. It just has. Buyout or whatever.

Oilers should just sign a gapfill for one year. I chosed James Reimer, hes at lest decent.

THe RW, ****. THere you are in trouble. I chosed Gurianov AND Namestnikov, as I thought they have a fit here.
But there is also as you picked. , and such. I dont belive in Dylan Strome, who plays like a 5"9 while being a big man.
