Kessel AND Draisaitl on the same line? They're going to be caved in their own zone the entire season lol. 6.4 Million seems low for Debrincat. He's going to want 7.5-9 AAV. That trade value is also... well, if I'm Chicago I make that deal all day.

It’s just a heads up, not trying to pick a fight, that picking a fight with people who are too arrogant to understand advanced stats might not be the wisest thing to do.
You’d also be surprised at how many users there are who just use advanced stats to base a players value from.</div></div>
Ah okay I understand! Sorry about that! Appreciate the heads up on the Capfriendly personal profile etiquette, and I will also be more conscious about bringing advanced metrics into the discussion in the future!

I figured he might want to go to Seattle. Can be a locker room leader for their expansion building with younger players. He'd more realistically want to go to a contender though and win a Cup before his career is over. I agree.

That's fair. I wasn't 100% aware of the forward depth in Columbus. Good to know!

Their biggest position of strength is LD. Not RD. Their right side is weak. They have McAvoy and Carlo, but after that it gets dicey. Left side they currently have Lindholm, Grzelcyk, Reilly, AND Forbort.

Did you say forbort is bad defensively? Dude, if all you want to do is look at numbers, be an accountant, or watch baseball. Hockey is not about that.</div></div>
I don't JUST look at numbers. Hockey is trending in the direction of advanced analytics and has been for years now. Boston has a fully fledged analytics department that has just as much say in potential player acquisitions as their scouts do. I've personally met and talked with their department. Forbort is not good defensively. He is constantly caved in his own zone. He is a 7th Dman at best on a good team IMO.

Wagner is a 4th liner. A 6th round pick seems like fair value, no? Maybe switch it to Boston giving a pick instead to take the player.

And fat chance of Ryan Strome signing for only $4,500,000 try more like $5,500,000 x 5-6 years if not even more money.</div></div>
They should all be back by December. November at the earliest. Just need to find value contracts/prospects who can fill the void for a month or two. Strome is realistically closer to 5.5 million but the Bruins find ways to sign guys to team-friendly deals. Maybe not super realistic but not that far off value-wise.

Bruins are short on RD, Right-Shot defensemen. They also need some offensive help back there. Barrie might be a fit.

Wagner is.
This team is absolutely horrible.</div></div>
I'm building this team based on advanced analytics. Bruins have a deep analytics department, and the players I signed/acquired are analytics darlings who either already broke out offensively (Marchment) or are due to break out and already have terrific metrics (Puljujarvi). Strome is a solid add for the 2nd C position. Rodrigues replaces the scoring of Debrusk but is more consistent for the top-6. Forbort is bad defensively and not worth the money he's making at all. He's also behind on the LD depth chart IMO.

Center > LW, better contract, more points. Basically the only thing Foegele has on Evans is he's taller</div></div>
I was mostly basing the trade on point production. Obviously the Habs wouldn't make that deal. I'd probably re-do it and have the Oilers send a prospect/draft pick

True. They really need a true top-line RW. I'm hopeful that someone like Yamamoto can break out offensively under Woodcroft for a full season.

You think Seattle would decline on Dunn? Getting a Defensive prospect and a first round pick seems reasonable since Dunn only has one year left on his contract. Chychrun I agree... Probably have to throw in a prospect and another pick.
