First - I'm not trading 13th pick and Wally for Fiala, then have to give him a huge contract. He will get more than 7M easliy.
Second - I know Philly fans say "No" but to me this is interesting to be honest for both. Flyers are reubilding, Beau is only 24 a top 6 winger, Holmstrom is another young winger who had a good year in Bridgeport and it knocking on the NHL roster for the Isles either this year or next. Bailey to me is an easy flip for a pick or someone younger at the deadline. If Trotz becomes Phily's coach I can definitely see this as a possibility.

I just don't see Philly retaining any salary on a trade like this. Also doubt they want to move him in division

I'm not sure on the cap issues with Phily....but I agree with your point about trading within the same division.

I disagree, I don't think thats all too much for fiala. I like wahlstrom and think he'll be a solid player, but just dont see the fit with NYI. He'll never be able to skate with barzal, and him with nelson is too slow. Fiala, though, can move. I'm also not sure he'd get too much more than 7, its a bit of a buyer's market for forwards this offseason.
