Trying to be something else

Team: 2022-23 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 13, 2022
Published: Jun. 13, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hopefully brings some stability to the roster so long term prospects (Dach, Kurashev, Mitchell and Allan) can grow. Kane will surely move at the deadline for a 1st, Roster Player and A grade prospect.

Sadly, I have no faith in the Blackhawks ability to draft in this day and age.

A decent defensive prospect (former first rounder I may add), a goal scoring winger and some dross, for masses of long term cap space and freedom not to pay people who are made of glass.

Thanks for making Armia somehow look desirable compared to this steaming pile of garbage you tried to sell the Habs.

I don't think anybody would classify Beaudin as a decent defensive prospect. He's more of a waiver wire pick-up. Montreal doesn't need or want dross and Kubalik doesn't do much for Montreal for the same reason he doesn't do much for Chicago.

Per Friedman, Seravalli and LeBrun, Montreal's gotten lots of calls for Anderson, but they aren't going to move him unless its an offer they can't refuse (similar to the Lehkonen trade). Drouin's contract is a non-issue and while Armia's contract might be nice to move, this isn't even within the realm of being close to how they'd do that.

Josh Anderson is made of glass! Jonathan Drouin is made of glass. Everyone knows this.

Hmm, who do I think has a better idea of what NHL front offices think of Anderson? On the one hand - Friedman, Seravalli and LeBrun. On the other hand - you, a random internet poster. That's a real tough one.

And Drouin's in the last year of his contract, why would they trade him now, especially when they have to take Johnson, who is at least as injury prone and has an extra year on his contract.
