Moving a top six winger to grab strome for the third line, play an AHLer on the first line, and put coyle on the first line makes absolutely no sense.

There needs to be a complete 3rd line over haul. That lines needs to score and coyle and smith just didn’t get it done.
I don’t think anyone wants coyle at 5.2 so I thought he would be a really deep 4th line centre.

I agree that steen on the first line could be a bit of a stretch. But out of all our prospects he has the best chance to take that step in my opinion.
