The stars would be silly not to sign Robertson to a 8 yr contract.
Arizona says no to both those trade proposals.
Resigning Raffl is pointless, they have top prospects in the minors who can do as much as Raffl or more and take up less cap space.

The Robertson/Otter contracts are bad.

Buying out Oloffson when they just signed him is also a bad look.

No reason to try and move on from Harley, and buying out Kero/Hanley does nothing.

Just a bad offseason all around.

1. Arizona is nowhere close to accepting the Chychrun trade. Only things of good value going to them would be Lindell & the 1st. Everything else is either a cap dump or of lower value than they'd want.

2. The smartest thing Dallas could do is sign Robertson to a 4-year contract. It takes him up to his last year of RFA eligibility and allows Dallas to essentially maintain contractual control of him for up to the next 12 years.

3. Wtf is that Harley trade? Why is Dallas trading a 20-year old, future top-4 LD for a 6th round pick?

4. Don't re-sign Holtby or Raffl

5. Don't sign Zadorov, and only sign 1 of Rutta or Miller

6. You can't have more than 3 buyouts at one time

7. Why on earth are we buying out Olofsson, Kero, and Hanley?

First off Dallas should be in 0 rush to get prospects into the league no need to rush them, Arizona would easily accept as they are getting prospects and top picks for a cap dump which they said they are doing

Two guys who can easily be signed for that much with term is smart

Those are Arizona's 2 best assests for trades, they are not taking cap dumps and retaining salary to move them. They want an insane package for Chychrun, Khudobin, a 1st and a 2nd aint it. And Crouse is an RFA and young, they will just keep him if they dont get blown away with an offer.
