Just an idea that I wanted to throw out, not sure if this is reasonable or if trade values are exact. Kulikov and Jost trades could be to any team as well

Pens accept under the case we move one of Dumo/Pettersson

I can't see Edmonton letting that offer sheet go threw. Even if Holland wants to move on from him which I think is heavily overblown.

I think they would want to hold on to him as well, I just had seen some things that seemed like they wouldn't be able to afford him regardless

Tight off-season but it's not bad enough situation forced to let him go for a second rounder. To be honest tho he would be an unreal fit for the wild.

Yeah… I wouldn’t start our journey into the depths of the Suter/Parise buyouts by offersheeting Puljujarvi. That seems like it could easily backfire.

I'm just curious, what do you think the big downsides are for a 2 year deal? We would have about $15 million in cap in this scenario for the 23-24 season, which I think would be more than enough for what we would need at that time. And then in the 24-25 season this deal would be off the books and the larger buyout seasons would have more cap dedicated to the expiring ELCs

Offering sheeting is usually a big no no in the GM circle. You expose yourself to retaliation next time your player goes to RFA. It’s typically viewed poorly. And usually when you offer sheet you want a longer term deal to make the pick(s) worth losing. I’d say if BG wanted JP he’d just try and trade for his rights, wouldn’t go the offer sheet route. Just my two cents

Correction: Accept this trade in the case BOTH dumo/pettersson are traded which is pretty unlikely. Gotta make room for that POJ spot didn’t think about that one
