Description

~ Nuke takes a smaller contract in exchange for a short-term deal.
~ Lekky accepts a larger contract in exchange for a longer-term deal.
~ The money saved in moving Girard's contract gives room to sign Kadri to a short but expensive contract to try and replicate his impressive season and try to win a cup with the Avs once more.
~ The current 4th line stays together for one more year.
~ Burky and Keumper walk as free agents.
~ I really hope he ends up being the John Gibson from a few years ago.

Uh, no. Any trade of John Gibson is going to bring back a first-round draft pick as well as a player of Girard's caliber, plus at least another element. Anything less and there's really no reason to move him.

Pass on Gibson and just re-sign Kuemper, Kadri isn’t signing a 2 year deal and signing Nichushkin to a 2yr deal is bad business for everybody involved.

Bingo. This trade is just buying Gibson’s reputation. Better off just keeping Girard and signing a free agent goalie for cheaper.
