This is definitely a good offer. When the Miller trade does happen I'm 90% sure it will be for a decent amount less than this offer. And I'm a Canucks fan. It's not realistic to give up 4 prime assets for one players.

The Rangers offered Lundkvist a 1st and Chytil at the trade deadline. The Canucks declined.
Knuckl3s liked this.

I think the original trade it pretty close. Nucks get four pieces, one of them moderately high value (Kaako being the 2nd OA pick, but also not much to show for it), the other three good but not great.

Exactly. He would have cost a 1st & 2nd just as 1yr rental last tdl, that value has sailed. Either way JTM to NYR again is comical. Hard pass every time. Funny thing is, everybody wants our busts for their rebuild

Give me an example of the value you would think is fair? If you can use a realistic team that'd be ideal but even if not I'm more interested in how much value you think will be coming back. Specific players and picks from one team.

NY Islanders: Beauvillier, Aatu Raty, 1st

Maple Leafs: Alexander Kerfoot, Pierre Engvall, Topi Niemela, 1st

Avalanche: Matthew Steinburg, Arturi Lehkonen, 1st

Bruins: Lysell, Debrusk, 1st, Studnicka

To name a few examples

These are wildly different values. That Avs proposal is pretty bad. You could easily argue Kakko has the highest upside of anyone you are proposing. and Lundqvist might be the best of the secondary picks, plus 1st plus 2nd. The only one I'd consider over this NYR proposal is the Boston one. I would say be prepared for it to be 25% less than you think.

Avs fans don't like that proposal, are they biased?

I really don't think those valuations are that far off from one another, and I don't know that I believe in Kakko's "upside" anymore

Lehkonen is playing the exact role they need him to right now so they don't care about trading for Miller. But if that is our return it is pitiful. A 26 yr old middle 6 fwd, the 32nd pick and b prospect. If and when they lose Kadri and could really use Miller, I dont think the Avs will have what it takes to get Miller. They traded their stud d prospects and mostly all there picks.

Kakko still has more upside than anyone else you mentioned. Maybe Lysell and Niemela could be in the running but Kakko produced better at their level.

I guess, I mean, I certainly wouldn't expect the Avalanche to be the ones' who ultimately win the Miller sweepstakes by a long shot, but if I had to come up with a scenario, that was the best I could find. Maybe throw in Oskar Olausson or something

As much as your nonsense trades to the Ranger make me laugh. Your jealousy of the Rangers is awesome, keep up the good work.

You only go on capfriendly to complain about any trade made involving Miller saying "overpay" from the other team. Canucks fans are not the jealous ones
