If they sign someone actually useful instead of Kessel then I’m not seeing why expectations shouldn’t start with the playoffs.

I mean Kessel had 55 pts on a really bad Arizona team so I think that he would be a pretty decent under the radar pickup for the Sens and would be a stopgap until the 7th OA pick would be ready to take that slot or another one of the prospects.

I wouldn’t be shocked if that happened. Or if they get JVR as a stop gap and then draft a Kemell or Savoie or Gauthier
