Personally i agree with you but lou has made it very clear that he thinks 2 goalies are needed.

We'll see what Lou does, he is the type to keep his cards close. He probably does want him-most teams are rolling with tandems now-but if he did constantly emphasize Varly's importance to the team it might be a negotiation ploy to increase the chances of him getting an offer he can't refuse. Then he could go replace him if it happens sooner rather than later.

There probably won't be a bidding war since Varlamov has to sign off on any deals if he's only willing to go to a single team. That being said I don't think Lou has an issue with keeping him as an own rental if he doesn't get an adequate offer in his eyes.

Still very comprehensive, idk how many teams he wouldn't mind going to but if it's say just 2, that would leave 13 teams. The chances that he moves can then be reduced by leaving out teams that don't need him. Ana, Bos, Car, Dal, Flr, Tb, VG are just a few teams that probably wouldn't be interested at all.
