This helps Vegas too much because they are in cap hell. Yzerman isn’t giving up assets to take on a (when the season starts) 35 year old defensemen making over 5 mil for 2 more years when Vegas is stuck. Martinez is a good player, just doesn’t fit with the wings timeline at all. Roy doesn’t move the needle for Yzerman to pull the trigger on this. Not really close
