Almost feels like an overpayment but honestly if the Canucks trade Brock it should be for a fringe top pair d-man otherwise it’s not worth doing

If Jokiharju can be in this, I think the Canucks would be interested. Say the 1st, 2nd + Jokiharju. The value is not the issue but more a Canucks need. Send Olofsson or Middlestat elsewhere, say NYR for Lundkvist.

Boeser has that 10.2(c) status, that's basically his Qualifying offer, doubt he would sign that

Pass. Boeser will be lucky to fetch an early 2nd with his contract situation.

Canucks aren't gonna sell low on Boeser if that's all the market offers

Which is fine. But he’s a worse player than Buchnevich and Reinhart with a worse contract situation.

Do the math

Yeah, he's an inferior player, but Buchnevich and Reinhart signed their respective deals when they had lower QO's, and weren't projected to have as much upside

Lol!!!! They both never scored more goals than Boeser until the past season! They both signed two years ago hahahaha

Buch never put up more than 40 pts once and got 5.8 hahahahahaha

Brock has been consistently more productive and Reinhart had one 65 pt year amongst a bunch of 40-50 pts year just like Brock.

Good day chap. Nonce

Every deep dive analytic number has PB and SR as significantly better play drivers.

What's his contract "situation." Isn't he an RFA? Van can move him anywhere if they're inclined. Reports are out that they are at least interested in testing the market.

Hahaha ok ok. I take that back. Apologies.

They are different players. Brock is productive and has very good possession numbers and does well for what he is asked to do. I'm not overly worried about the QO. They can arb him down to 6.375m but likely both sides will work out a deal between 3-5 years. The fit may not be Detroit.

Ppl are freaking out at his QO at 7.5m. Canucks can easily afford that and go the Laine route, take to him arb as low as 6.375m or he signs with a bit of term to find middle ground. They are testing the market. I don't think it's limited to just JT and Brock. No doubt the new FO is looking at significant changes if they like what is being offered. That said, it could be relatively quiet and most players stay besides a few players such as Pearson, Poolman or Dickinson.
