Description
My goal here was to replace bad cap use with good cap use and swap out most of the defence. I know GMJR and Allvin want to keep picks esp next years first round but I don’t really care about that, if we are in the lottery again next year imma off myself. Let me know how unrealistic I’m being!

Detroit declines, can get a better fitting LD without giving up Hronek.

The 2023 1st makes me stand up and take notice and want to do it as a gamble on a deep draft, hoping for a high pick. 2022 1st is probably fair value, but also probably gets rejected as unnecessary and risky. Unless, someone that Detroit loves falls to 15, but looking at this draft class, I'm not sure who that would be. Lambert? Geekie? Kasper? Savoie? McGroarty? A couple of them will be there at 15, but which ones, and how does Yzerman feel about them? We could use OEL, but he doesn't move the needle any more than Hronek and 5 more years at that cap hit is rough. How much does Kasper or Lambert move the needle for the rebuild? Maybe it is enough to take on the OEL contract, maybe not.
