Meier isn't worth 2nd overall
Barabanov trade is fine
Hertl trade is fine, but he wouldn't get traded after signing a long-term extension
Burns is worth more than a 2nd with 50% retention
other trades are fine

Do you really ready trade Karlsson for this peanuts? I think Karlsson cost much more and without big retention. I prefer to keep him than make some retantion.

Meier is clearly better than almost every player in this drafts ceiling! I can only see 1 maybe 2 players exceeding his skill level and play combine that with the fact he’s already close to his ceiling potential and this makes him more valuable than the 2nd overall in a weaker draft.
why deal Barabanov 1 month after resigning him?
why deal Hertl 3 months after resigning him?
NYR have 4 quality RD (Fox Trouba, Schneider Lundkvist)
they have Literally zero interest in Burns even 50% retained.
sharks should not consider that Edmonton deal but Edmonton Might, though they shouldn’t.
both Simek and Labanc your going to have to pay to move.
Bonino not sure PIT has the cap for that one.

yeah but I assume these trades are for a rebuild and if we were to rebuild we wouldn't be looking to compete for a decent amount of time and the retention might be over by then depending on how long we rebuild. So essentially a 2nd for free.

I mean I think Cooley has the potential to be as good or better than Meier and we'd have him on an ELC. These trades are if we were to rebuild and Cooley would be a solid NHL player by the team we would be ready to compete.
Yeah ig Barabanov and Hertl trades don't happen but value-wise they aren't terrible.
both teams decline NYR trade.
I think if we were to rebuild EK65s contract would be almost done or already done by the time we'd be looking to compete and we get a 2nd out of it in a good draft.
Simek and Labanc have little to no value to negative value. I think a 3rd would be fine, especially if we're rebuilding. Don't understand why Arizona is doing that trade tho.
Yeah maybe another team at the TDL.
