Expansion Protection:

O'Reilly - Okposo - Foligno - Larsson - Girgensons - Carrier - Ennis
Ristolainen - Vatanen - McCabe
Lehner

GM: Jason Botterill
HC: Phil Housley

C: Eichel
A: O'Reilly
A: Ristolainen

----------------------

I know everyone is sick of seeing Vegas take on cap dumps from teams on here, but I think Moulson and the 36th overall pick isn't too shabby of a haul. Could trade back into the first round with that pick and Moulson provides some leadership and a power play specialist for the new team.

-----------------------

LA gets a proven goal scorer at half the price, as well as a potential middle six forward who is expansion exempt. Allows them to protect 7-3-1 without losing someone for nothing. I don't know if the pick values are correct but you get the idea. Maybe Ullmark comes into play?

------------------------

Anaheim does something similar in allowing them to protect their players going 7-3-1, while also adding a 2nd overall center who has show he can score at this level. Can play on the wing as well, adding depth to their forwards period.
I don't know if value is straight up but picks can be added as needed. Think it's close enough seeing as Reinhart is expansion exempt as well as still on a rookie deal so is under team control for a number of years.

-------------------------

Tampa saves some cap space by trading the rights to Drouin, allowing them to sign their other RFAs. McCabe can fill a top 4 role immediately, the 8th overall pick adds some future or can be swapped for whatever they need later on, and I know everyone is sick of seeing Girgensons thrown into deals but I think he has some value in this deal as he is again young, team controlled, and much cheaper than Drouin would be. Just gives them forward depth.
Guess this could be done before the expansion or after, depending on where Tampa is at with their list.

--------------------------

Cap space isn't as bountiful as I've seen in other team builds, but with Gorges coming off the books, as well as the 50% from Kane's contract, we're sitting at almost 12M going into next season, with Eichel being the big contract we need to hand out. If it comes to it, Ennis or Bogosian can be traded, retaining some salary and just getting them off the books for a year or two to help sign any other players.

I don't think there's any way Tampa makes that trade before the expansion draft. They wouldn't protect either McCabe or Girgensons.

This is awesome! but it's a fantasy world...

I think everything on here could potentially happen but there is no way it will all happen in one off season with a new gm .

Like i said, these moves are potentially fair and beneficial but all of them together are just not realistic.
Also, I do not want to give up bailey in that deal to LA. I think bailey could be a serviceable winger for us

I cant continue to see people think we will trade Kane and Sam. We tanked hard for Sam and Jack. Why give up on Sam who failed in Byslma's system when before this year he was working O'Reilly every practice, especially for Vatanen.

no to reinhart for vatanen. i think the drouin offer gets beat by several teams, but i like the idea of going after him. i like the muzzin trade, i dont think LA adds a pick though. i hate ennis and moulson equally, so i was going to question why in the name of all things good and holy you protected ennis, but i guess if you are paying vegas to take moulson it doesnt matter who you protect.

reinhart has value. we dont have a lot of pieces that have value that we can move. he stopped doing the ror practices this year (fwiw). i am fine with saying he does not have the tools to be great, but he should be very good. i am fine with moving reinhart for help on d, but its really gotta be on the left side.
