Never said they were better off, but they have far more hits with mid round picks than with 1sts lately. Pretty sure you're also one who was saying Tampa would never trade off the roster either. Guess you were wrong on that. Too bad you didn't like the trade, but despite the 1sts moved it likely works out better than not. Zero chance Tampa is still fighting for a.3 peat with Raddysh, Katchouk and Joseph doing nothing in the bottom 6.

Drawing penalties, solid defensively, still creating some chances despite poor play of his linemates in that regard. Just because he's not scoring much means little. He hopefully will get a little stronger in the off season so he's not beaten on the boards so easily, but he's been fine. At least plays don't insta die on his stick like they do as soon as Killorn touches it.

Lol, more like they'd already be eliminated. After Joseph missed on his 500th breakaway. Katchouk did nothing while looking clueless, and Raddysh was lukewarm as ever.

Also pretty much guaranteed you were Boltsbeathabs on here. You couldn't argue or handle criticism then when you were easily beaten. Ignoring you was a gift then, as it will be now. I especially liked how you 100% said the Bolts never traded off the lineup, oops...or that Joseph was unquestionably better than anyone brought up as a trade target, including Paul. That also worked out well for you....

I do think it is BoltsBeatsHabs, they both type the same way and have 0 clue about the Lightning.

in regards to the Hagel trade. i agree he has been an amazing addition. yes the scoring isnt there like it was in Chicago but like you said, linemates are different, hes getting like 7 minutes less ice time. and the 2 guys hes spent the most time with this playoffs have a combined 3 goals and 12 points in 22 games, one of which has 0 goals. Id expect better production next season when hes given top 6 minutes and PP time.

Oh I will, one last thing though, at least your last version on here of boltsbeathabs wad accurate. The Bolts are not yet a dynasty by any measure of that term when it comes to sports. They have had a great run, but 2 titles a dynasty does not make. It is very much known that 3 'ships in a 5 or 6 year span gets you in the dynasty conversation, so while Tampa has done great things with this group in the salary cap wra, they have not reached dynasty status just yet. No one cares how many trips to the SCF, NBA finals, WS or SB a team made and lost, just the wins. Buffalo is not a dynasty because they went to 4 straight SB and lost. The only modern hockey dynasty in the cap era is Chicago, with their 3 titles from 2010-2015. 80's Lakers, 49ers, Isles and Oilers, 90's Bulls and Cowboys and late 90's/early 2000's Red Wings, plus Lakers again in the early 00's and Pats twice, plus what the Warriors are doing now(probably missed a team or two). All of these teams have the same thing in common, at least 3 titles in a 6 year span. Hopefully Tampa pulls the comeback off and then they move ahead of some of these imo given their circumstances, but they aren't a dynasty yet.

Speaking to your original trades, before I was partially responsible for derailing your acgm(apologies), I think that's probably in range of what Tampa would want for Serg, as only an overpay gets him. I still think they could get a 2nd+4th or B prospect type return for Killorn, or if some team was very interested, a late 1st if Tampa added a 3rd or solid prospect. Just my opinion though, as I hope if he's traded his overall body of work holds more weight than this bad playoff run.

i do think an overpay would get Sergy, but lately starting to think we keep him and try and move McDonagh instead

Yes, perhaps after next season. Hopefully, he would agree to waive his ntc and a trade would be possible. However, if not, then a buy out is an option. It's 6 years of payment, but the 1st year is approx 430k, so that works well with the small cap increase to 83.5 and still provides enough space for Tampa to keep Palat and sign the others(and still sign or trade for a 3LD replacement). In '24-'25 it's 1.9, but the cap should see a reasonable raise by then. '25-'26 is where it goes to 4.6 and would be rough, but that's 3 years down the line so who knows how things will look by then. The last 3 years from '26 to '29 would be just over 2 million , and with a rising cap, Tampa can probably manage okay.
