As a Sens fan, there is no reason you want to do that.

As a sens fan, I'd take that trade this year at the draft. Rather take a chance on Mittelstadt for 2 years at 2.5 than rest of Zaitsev's contract.
Plus if he starts to play well but others on the team are better that contract is easy to move again.

I've seen more icing from Z then a Betty-Crocker commercial. Trust me, it's brutal.
