1. Andrew Copp is not signing that.

2. Getting Shane Wright requires a trade with Montreal or New Jersey.

3. Seattle and Arizona decline.

4. Spending Brown, Gaudette and a 3rd just to make Broberg our 5th LD is absolutely atrocious.

1. What is copp worth? i actually do not know that was just my rough estimate.
2. completely forgot that nj has the second overal pick.
3. I don’t think seattle would decline if the right prospect was added, there a rebuilding team and larsson is an aging dman, sell high on him well you can. also with the stacked draft class next year we are likely to see teams sell like they did in 2015
4. brown is likely to leave and edmonton wants him. i feel like with sandersons graduation this year that we are going to be missing a very solid left handed defensive prospect. he is only 1 or 2 seasons out for being a very good shut down guy

1. Copp will want at least 5 million x 6 on a team with lower taxes.

2. I would be shocked if Wright dropped to 3rd overall.

3. White is a cap dump and without Larsson, the defence on Seattle's right side will get eaten alive.

4. Broberg can be acquired for less.

I think you are undervaluing Broberg. In a trade involving a young player (who was a first round pick), you are trading for their potential, not for who they are now. That adds value and obviously more complexity. If I am the oilers I would rather trade a second round pick and a late round pick along with Kassian, for Brown (remove Gaudette)

That's not getting you Connor Brown.

Try again.

What are you valuing him at? He has been in the league for like 7 years and has not had over 50 points. I like Brown and I like his game. He has more to him than getting points which is nice. I feel that a lot of the Sens fans are valuing his return too high and are thinking acquisition at the trade deadline. Obviously his value would be inflated at the TDL, but this is the off season. There is no way brown is worth a first round pick and a 2nd or even a 3rd.

About the same value as JG Pageau, Christian Dvorak, Arturri Lekhonen or Andrew Copp.

Ok, however two of those trades were at TDL and the JGP trade was right before the deadline... So their values were inflated due to the timing and the need for playoff bound teams to add to their teams. In regards to the Dvorak trade, I would say that is more of a solid comparison. Similar stats. CAR first round pick would almost be identical to the Oilers and the 2nd round ARI got is 2024. So no real value for a couple of years. I think I could agree on a 3rd round pick in 2022 with some conditions to make it a 2nd round if Brown re-signs or something. Thanks for providing those comparisons!
