You want to give up one of our best defensive forwards for a defenseman who’s not good at defense?

Yikes
Are u sure you’re a Sabres fan?

The Pk Subban signing is rough also
And we’d better have a better goaltending tandem than Anderson/UPL
That could be a disaster for us, as both are oft injured

I don't think barrie is on anybodys wish list. And I think you are paying a premium to get him. Personally I would much rather have a solid physical defensive right shot d.

I don't think Holland is as anxious to move Barrie as many are thinking. This does in my opinion look like a fair offer

Not sure why my fandom needs to be in question. Generally when I make trades on here I try to overpay what I think the asset will be worth so that the opposing teams fans will give me a more honest answer about what they think. Pk is only for 2 years which is not really a risky contract at all. I don't see the need to trade for or sign another goalie when we have 3 good ones in the pipeline. I think upl will be injured less this year.

I try to overpay in trades on what I personally think they'd be worth. I think Barrie would be great to pair with Samuelsson who is phenomenal defensively

Yeah he had a good season, but I do think he'd fit well with the sabres.

It’s not that you overpaid, it’s that u traded for a defenseman who isn’t very good at playing defense
It’s just a bad idea

As is Pk Subban, even if it is for only 2years
U can say it isn’t risky, but again, just a bud idea

We have no idea what we have in the pipeline yet,
goalies are weird that way
And with Levi & Portillo both declining to sign, it’s hardly rational to consider them “in the pipeline” for us

Counting on a very old Vet to stay healthy is also not very rational
And the same about a young kid who can’t seem to stay healthy either
And even if they did stay healthy, it’s quite questionable as to whether or not either would be any good even
They might
But they also might not

There’s just too many bad decisions and unnecessary risks here imo

He probably would fit in nicely. He's better defensively than given credit for its like people just have a hate for him on this site I don't get it. As far as I know he's amazing in the locker room very positive and very nice guy. I'd hate to see oilers move him has alot of intangibles really want part of the group.
