PLD won't sign for that cheap. He wants at least $8 million. Take out Gauthier and put in Schneider and the Jets do it I think.

That’s insane we wants that. He’s a .66 career ppg player, underperformed based on 8 million that’s for sure

And no on Schneider.

I heard a rumor on this exact trade this morning. For what it’s worth

I agree that's a ridiculous ask from him, but that's what he wants. That being said, he might be convinced to take less for a better team like NYR, but who knows

I'm thinking PLD + 30OA for Kakko, Chytil + Schneider.

Lundqvist is your Trouba replacement instead of Schneider.

Jets traded a finnish winger drafted 2OA in Laine + a young C/W drafted 25OA in Roslovic for PLD + 3rd round pick. Laine was way better than Kakko though and Roslovic/Chytil are similar value. Jets give the Rangers their 1st back and the difference between the 3rd round pick vs the 1st round pick and Laine vs Kakko is made up for by adding Schneider.

I know the Rangers don't want to move Schneider but I think that deal works for everyone in terms of positional needs, competitive window, caphits, etc.

Dubois' QO is over 6.5 mil, you're not getting him on that contract. If you could, he'd cost a whole lot more than what you're proposing.

Yeah I agree with that swap Gauthier and put in Schneider The Jets do it. Be foolish not to.

I’m not a big fan of Dubois trade either lol. I feel like it’s going to cost too much in assets and money. Don’t get me wrong he’ll be great here but the cost just seems way to high for me

I love doing these lol my favorite way to go is re-sign Frankie Wheels and Motte and trade for a center for 3rd line. None of these crazy trades
