No way the Flyers do that. We'd have to be getting more value back even though it is Price for that to work. We'd have only one center ready for NHL at this point if this trade is done and we'd lose our #2 pick.

Would you do Giroux/Voracek for Price or a trade around that? That's the only way it would work since Price is looking at that kind of money after his contract is up and we won't be able to afford that... Price to Philly would make more sense if we were a goalie away, but we aren't. We need scorers and we need defense. In that trade we are giving up a future top-6 forward, one of our best prospects, and one of the best shutdown centers in the league.. Hard pass..

Flyers have good G prospects in the system and there are a number of good goalies hitting the market this summer . . . so why? They rent a goalie now and let the prospects work their way up.

Why are you wanted to trade either of our two best players for an essential rental goalie in Price.

No way Hextall makes that trade. Couturier isn't going anywhere and #2 isn't being moved (even if, let's say, Price agreed to resign). Enough prospects on the back end/goal that we don't need an older goalie who may walk in free agency, while effectively trading away a future 1c.

Are you signing and trading for Fleury? Thought he is a UFA? Also, not enough value for NJD for Kovie.

Holmgren and his predecessors would make trade, but not Hextall.
