Are Isles fan willing to part with Dal Colle (Honest question)? While Gallagher is pure heart and soul, not sure I'd give up Dal Colle.

You typically don't give up draft picks/future assets in a rebuild unless you're Paul Holmgren.

I wouldn't even want Johansson, to be honest. Carlson, yes, but not for #2 to a division rival.

MTL wouldn't give up Galchenyuk and Lehkonen in the same deal and I don't think SJS would do that deal either.
Why did you move Hagg and picks to Vegas? To pick up AMac's salary? I wouldn't sacrifice a young defenseman just for a salary dump.

Full rebuild
Not a bad three way trade, regardless of cap. I'd be happy with either COL's parts or MTL's parts. I'd rather hold onto Simmonds than Panarin just bc of Simmonds style of play and leadership qualities. CGY definitely doesn't trade Tkachuk for Jake straight up.

TO just wouldn't do that trade especially with their young guys on ELCs. Definitely would need a young defenseman going the other way ^^ for TO to even consider. Doubtful Draisaitl doesn't re-up with EDM and don't think Hextall would pull off acquiring him.

I am not really big on Duchene personally. I'd would rather keep our young assets/draft picks and let forwards like Rubtsov, Vorobyov , etc. come up.

I don't think this deal happens either, but again it's not just for Johnny Hockey. The OP also included a 26 year old top pairing Dman on a sweetheart contract who goes by the name of TJ Brodie.</div></div>
Why give up two guys who have top pair potential on ELCs when they have the chance to draft a dynamic forward too? It's not like the Flyers completely lack guys that can play on the top line. Plus, with Myers and Gudas gone, the Flyers would have no right handed Dmen and that same situation led us to trade JvR for Luke Schenn.</div></div>

Don't get me wrong, Gaudreau could slide on the top line, as we lack dynamic top line talent. I would be shocked if Hextall pulled a deal of this magnitude after he has preached patience and building from within. Sanheim and Myers are blue chip prospects who haven't even played in the NHL yet. Add in the 1st/2nd and I think it is too much for Johnny Hockey.

Well top line guys with game changing abilities. Sure, we have the big three up front, and if they return to form, great. It's more of Hextall not pulling the trigger and that first on top of two prospects makes me agree. I don't know a whole lot about TJ Brodie except that he played with Giordano.

Vanek is negotiable at his cap hit, but wouldn't want him anyway. Don't need Stone and Del Zotto is already gonzo. Don't think Hextall will deal draft picks for Mrazek when he could test the goalies we have in the system.
DET might hold onto Mrzaek anyways.

Looks great on paper. Not sure if Shero is ballsy enough to do this at this stage of the re-build. Sergachev and a 1st seems more than what MB may be willing to give up.
TO doesn't necessarily need Zajac and a first with Horton may be too much for Lou.

Puljujarvi is worth more than the package you put together. And why is everyone so high on Anders Nilsson? This is about the fourth GM I've seen who has signed this guy. someone doesn't understand sarcasm. And Nilsson is better than Neuvirth is why. I also don't know how you cna say you'd rather go with Stolarz as the starter and not have a capable backup like Nilsson...</div></div>
I understand sarcasm plenty, but regarding Nilsson over Neuwirth, that is debatable. Don't recall saying Stolarz as starter, just that I would play him as the backup to see what we have.
Out of curiosity, how do you figure Nilsson is better than Neuwirth? Neuwirth was terrible last year, granted, but, superficially, their career numbers aren't that far off.

Thornton wouldn't sign, too many centers as it is. Don't need Oshie or Shattenkirk for that long, although Shattenkirk could be a nice addition. Not trading for Pominville and a late first.

Quick Fix
Ducks would not trade Perry, who is homegrown and has less term, (skill is debatable) plus a prospect for an albeit younger, more expensive winger with three more years on his deal. MTL trade does have some realism to it, if Giroux were to waive NTC, which I do not see happening. Even if Joe Thornton signed (why would he), we still have a logjam at forward with #2 on the way.

Expedite the rebuild
If anything, COL wants a young dman. Giroux by himself won't get it done and they want to get younger. Don't need Oshie at that term.
Ghost could accept bridge, not sure what Hextall will do there. Doubtful LA takes AMac given there cap situation.

Replace Manning with Morin/Hagg, and MacD with Hunwick (unfortunately). I'm not sure Hextall trades for Muzzin given our prospects and Couturier is best at the center over Cousins.

Blockbuster trade with the Sabres
BUF is set at center, so no need for Bennett. I think BUF would prefer playing Nylander over trading him for Gaudreau, but Reinhart may not be in their plans if he struggles. Kylington is interesting to move but I don't think they move Lehner without getting a replacement first.
