Rangers had no interest in Dvorak when he was being moved this past summer, he is not someone they will go after this summer, especially for Kakko.

Rangers can't handle Christian's cap hit and if Kappo goes, it will be for an offer sheet he can't refuse. And that 's before you take into account XBestOneYetX's comments which are spot on. I take the ANA trade to CAP Dump. Trade # 3 is interesting. Without doing any closer analysis, I say yes if the Rangers can fill the other holes and still work this one in without breaching the salary cap. 2 out of 2 ain't bad.

Unfortunately, I don't see the Rangers moving Reaves. Gallant and the players love him, plus Sather is in Drury's ear. Remember what Sather told John Scott when he traded for him, he always wants the toughest SOB in the NHL on his team... I'd much rather have someone who can provide something and at least keep up with the action. As for the Edmonton trade apparently the Oiler locker room hates Puljujarvi, saying when the puck got on his stick, that is where the play would die. Maybe he needs a change of scenery and playing with Kakko would be good for both of them, but I really like Jones. Will have to see what happens.

re: XBestOneYetX - Completely agree - The only way Reaves is going is if Drury takes the reigns. Gallant will be apoplectic. That would also be the case re: a Goodrow parting of the ways. And in the words of a Sabres fan I received some feedback on - "yeah - if we think we need a face smasher." To be fair Ryan is not a goon, he just love hitting anyone wearing a different jersey. Wasn't aware of the Puljujarvi "cancer" issue. If that is the case, I am completely on board with your comments. Good to know. Thanks.

What do you mean they can’t handle it I just did a team with him lol

I think 4.5 is the highest tho for a center. They realistically cannot go over that number.

I just want to trade Kakko before we do lose him to an offer sheet and get less than we should. One thing that cannot happen is him going to a new team via the offer sheet

I agree that Reaves will still be a ranger, it’s more wishful thinking on my part. But if you combine him and Nemeth, that’s 4 million they could spend much better elsewhere

re: SlimTJ100 - I promise you my motivation for moving Kappo is the same as yours. But he's in the cat birds seat. I hope we can keep Kappo in fold. I believe the Rangers will try to sign Copp at $5.5 for 5yrs. I f he accepts I this he gives the Rangers 60-70 pts at #2C playing a full campaign will the bread (he had 53 lasts year. I don't think we are that far apart. I take a crack at bringing Christian in. I am certain that differ re: Christian because of out assumptions about other personnel. I've put your proposal out there re: Reaves and Nemeth and the responses I have received aren't pretty. Only place Nemeth is going is ARI. Absolutely no interest in Reaves. Until the Rangers buy him out at a $60K hit for two year. Move him you can or buy him out to free cap space.
