Trades

  1. 2022 4th round pick (DET)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (DET)
DET
  1. Heinen, Danton [RFA Rights]
  2. Joseph, Pierre-Olivier [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
One would be a nice player for them, other just is never seeing ice time for our team, it’s already been said Burke & Hextall ain’t that fond of him
2.
PIT
  1. Hörnqvist, Patric ($2,650,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Bought back after Florida buys him out, as a better but pricier version of Brian Boyle, who can also play PP

Signs for 1 year at 2 mil
FLA
3.
CGY
  1. Pettersson, Marcus
Additional Details:
Apparently they don’t see Kylington as a top 4 d man, and will go hard for Chairot, in the scenario they get outbid which I think is likely, I would offer them this, Pettersson is not physical but is much younger and is way more defensively disciplined than Chairot, can also play top 4 minutes which a physical d man they’d try for cheap in FA can’t. Obviously this trade would only be able to happen if Gaudreau doesn’t accept their offer, pens get a prospect and a potential reclamation project or maybe just 7D. Pens free cap much needed space

True. But it all can be a negotiation tactic. Pens are focused on Letang and want to get him done before Malkin so they know how much they can spend reasonably.

I personally would go

58 4 x $8.35M
71 3 x $7.1M

i Am sorry but if you think a 4th and a 5th is fair value for POJ and heinen you are on something special my guy, POJ is a very good defensive prospect, you could fetch a 1st for him if not a high 2nd easy,

Do Treliving and Sutter really not see Kylington as a #2 DMan?

Pittsburgh didn't see Pettersson as a #2 DMan and every ACGM trades him. Why would Calgary see him as a #2 DMan??

Calgary can't afford Pettersson. I don't see why Detroit wouldn't accept.

Detroit would accept that but PIT shouldn't offer it.

Detroit needs veteran LD more than unproven prospects so Pettersson is the player that we want and Heinen isn't very useful to us.
