Are you serious? Sure Chychrun is a star but Bunting just had a Calder tier season. Toronto needs him if they wish to get past the first round.

Why exactly? He would fit in well there. As opposed to what the haters say, he is a point a game player that is a zone entry wizard.

No chance at re-signing. 2 years to UFA vs 3 with chychrun. You’re basically selling the same asset, with 1 less year of team control.

Bill Armstrong has called it a 4-5 year rebuild from today, that’s not likely to intrigue someone like nylander. Willy held out on Toronto, he’s not coming cheap to Arizona, and I don’t think breaking the salary structure for him is worth it. Great player, I’d kill to have his current cap hit under different circumstances, but it just isn’t a fit in Arizona
