Saros needs a legitimate backup. Reimer had a very solid year as the Sharks' starting goaltender, but I think it's time to part ways with him, as San Jose looks to get younger.

Rakell wouldn't be my first choice of UFA forwards.

Where did Kunin go?

I’d rather just keep Ingram and the pick. Give him a shot.

Does Rakell play LW? If so…
Forsberg - Johansen - Tomasino
Rakell - Granlund - Duchene
Tolvanen - Glass - Jeannot
Trenin - Sissons - XXX

And then you can stack the top like with Duchene over Tomasino when needed. Could even try Rakell with Glass as well.

Signing a guy like Rakell will hurt the teams chance or re-signing Jeannot, Fabbro, and Carrier the following season though. A 1-year deal works better for NSH— maybe a player like Domi would sign something like that.
