The problem is Zucker's 10 team no trade list which will have Edmonton on it.
Though with a year til free agency, going to Edmonton will help Zucker raise his potential contract demands in free agency much like Evander kane so I'd say he'd waive it unlike say Josh Anderson, and his 5 year term would probably decline going to Edmonton.

I'm surprised they havent bought out Kassian but they may be waiting for the other shoe to drop with the other deals. They have until July12 to buy him out in 1st window. That's without an arbitration case. They should be able to use the 2nd buyout window.

I think dropping Barrie's 2 year term alone is worth it. Edm would then shop the Pens 1st rounder elsewhere. The plan is to trade their 2022 1st for some help. 2023 1st would be the same. They hve a 3-4 year window with McDrai.

Just looking at your contract details. Puljujarvi isnt signing close to that low so i dont see the appeal from Pittsburgh as well. Jesse is arbitration eligible. His contract will be closer to 3M
