only way you get Marino out of pittsburgh is in a deal for one of Garland, Miller or Boeser

Underwhelming return for Miller. PIT decline, they would want a Miller or Garland.

Fair just got tired of making the same trade over and over. Thought I would try something different

That Pens trade is borderline insulting.

How is that? 37 ovr and a legit D man who can play both sides for a third of the price of the D man going out?

Tis what I feared... I just know too many NJD fans are like "Bratt is better than MIller, I wouldn't even do 1-for-1" or "2nd overall = Jt + 15th overall", etc.

Yeah but most people don’t know what they’re talking about, anyone who thinks bratt is even close to miller clearly doesn’t watch hockey.

Agreed. I've heard that Walsh is basically NHL ready and has Top-4 potential so I like that piece plus the 2nd overall

Marino is a VERY good 2nd pairing RHD with a ceiling of being a good #2 RHD. He's young and signed to a friendly contract. Good RHD's are already a commodity, and you're trading him for a mediocre 3rd pairing dman and a 2nd? Come on man.

First off, if Marino is moved it will be for an impact top-six winger. That said, a deal that doesn't have a major roster piece coming back STARTS with a 1st.

You seem too high on Marino and too low on Dermott. Marino is a top 4 guy (agreed) but he isn't the second coming of Christ. He is worth a 1st rounder imo and 37th ovr plus a legit (not mediocre) Dman is the equivalent of like a 25th ovr pick

It's not the he's the second coming, but top four RHD's are always a commodity, so this is a supply/demand thing. Not to mention he's only 25 years and signed long-term to a fair cap-hit.

Right right, nobody is disagreeing with that. Just that he isnt worth more than a 1st round pick.

I'm just gonna stop clicking on Canucks-Sens ACGMs, my brain can only tolerate so many more "pearson to ottawa for a 3rd" trades
