Description
I Firmly Believe That The 2024th 2nd Rounder Seems A Little Too Far Away To Offer For Erik Brannstrom... And In My Opinion... I Like To Compare Him To Jacob Chychrun... Which Is Why I'm Still High On Erik B... He Will Become A Top Four Defenseman

I think Brannstrom still has top 4 upside too, but he’ll need to be the number 4, with a big, defensive-minded partner, and running a PP in order to succeed (I actually think he could be better at running a PP than Chabot fwiw, he’s so talented offensively).

The Sens would accept this though. There’s just no room on our left side with Chabot and Sanderson in front of him.

Ottawa would accept that right away. Now, would that haunt us in the future? Maybe, but he just doesn't work with us so taking the 29OA is a good deal for Ottawa

Why get Brannstrom when you have a better skater with Broberg waiting for a spot on the left side

Brannstrom hasn't done anything at any level of hockey since he was drafted to suggest he's worth anything in the postal code of a first round pick. Egregious overpay.

I Think Erik B Would Start To Work Out A Little With Someone Like Cody Ceci Beside Him To Bail Him Out Defensively... Keith Just To Show Him The Ropes Of The Two Way Game And Then Set Him Up With Ceci Once Keith's Contract Is Done

IDK Man, Broberg Is Good, He Really Is, I Just Feel That Erik B Has A Higher Offensive Ceiling And I Think The Oilers Defenseman That Could Help Them Out Offensively

Oilers problem is they got good offence but no defensive Defenceman that is true. Bouchard fills the offence zone, Brannstrom seems like a Left side skating offensive Dman and can be utilized by the Sens way more than Oilers especially if Oilers sign Kulak again

He's Not A Good Fit I Believe In Ottawa, And Ottawa Needs To Get The Best Deal Possible For Erik B He Really Is Going To Be A Great Offensive Defenseman

To Me... I Believe That Erik Would Be A Great Replacement From Kulak, Cheaper As Well

Continuing to pay out-the-nose prices for maybes instead of sure-things is a surefire way to ensure the Oilers never win a Stanley Cup in our lifetimes. It's objectively flawed logic.

Remember when Griff Reinhart was supposed to be the next shutdown defender? Remember when Strome was supposed to supplant Eberle? Remember when Athanasiou was supposed to be a can't-miss burner alongside McDavid?

If you want Brannatrom so badly then include him in a package with Connor Brown and Puljujarvi+ going back to Ottawa. At least that sort of deal is excusable.
