Chicago says no, Muzzin (and Oilers) say no . That's lots to give up in the Arizona trade.

There's been reports (Scott Powers) that Chicago and Leafs are in talks to exchange Mrazek's contracts for picks/prospects. Oilers are looking to trade and are really interested in Campbell and Muzzin could waive so it is a possibility. If we want Chychrun AND Crouse, we will have to overpay a bit, but I'm fine with just getting rid of Holl and Kerfoot is good, but we need him off the books to get bigger.

Sorry Hollowell and 4th rounder aren't NHL prospects. Why would Muzzin waive? Cause the Leafs want cap? His family is near Toronto. The Leafs are good team. And the Oilers have about the worse travel schedule in the league. Hey, I'm all for trading Muzzin...but his NTC has meaning.

If Mrazek can get healthy, he still has some value.

I am so tired of the Chychrun trades. He's not that good. Sandin could easily become as good if not better than him. And crouse is another Ritchie. Better but still just a 3/4 liner who hits.

Then the Leafs should keep him. But it's obviously by the trades and the sweeteners added, folks don't think he has 3.8m value. He was on waivers last season...no takers.

Chychrun is a GREAT player - and he did what he did playing on a terrible Arizona team. Sandin COULD become as good or better than him, but we don't know for sure. Chychrun has already proven himself so we know what we have. Sandin is also MUCH smaller and not as good defensively in my opinion.

Crouse showed that he is better than Ritchie while playing on a terrible Arizona team as well. I'm fine with paying him even lower - gives us more cap space. We need players like him on our team - gives us a great checking third-line, while having a bit more skill on our fourth line.

This is just mob talk. Last year Chychrun didn't have impressive numbers. It was the year before when Arizona was much better than last year. He's hardly the player fans on here think he is. Crouse is a medium sized fish in a pond. Put him in a lineup filled with actual good players and he's falling down the depth chart. He's not very good defensively, but he hits and every year the same type of fan dreams of finding the next Tom Wilson, Crouse isn't that. He would be a 3rd or 4th liner in TO.

I'm okay with Crouse playing the third or fourth line - that's where I've placed him.

Chychrun didn't have good numbers this past year because Arizona was dumb and playing the Ghostisbere over him in offensive situations (pp, and sometimes even 5v5).

Will he get those opportunities in TO? He's not half as good at that as Reilly.
