Honestly zero sense for buffalo to do this. Pretty much the same lotto ticket in the 5th round as the 3rd round.

Ah yes, Buffalos biggest need... LD, there would only be 7 players above Simek on that depth chart

So your GM didnt say he was going to weaponize cap space to get better assets?? lol dude, the difference between a 5th and 3rd rounder is nearly a 20% to play 200 games in the nhl...

anyways, buffalo, arizona, chicago, who cares where he goes.

Chicago just laughs at that offer

I don't think it's enough or that CHI should even entertain trading DeBrincat unless it's a ridiculous offer, but I don't think this offer is that far off in value since the 11OA is included.

Thanks. its pretty spot on considering the QO required if the Sharks want to re-sign him. contract structure is a big part of the reason that it wont be more than this kind of trade. He could take the QO and walk right to FA, so its higher risk for any team, which means lower offers.

Also think Chicago is dumb to trade Alex, but yet that is what they are intent on doing.

If they do I can't imagine that Kane will want to stay, and losing both players means terrible things for ticket sales.

Seems almost identical to our Meier situation. Team doesn't want to trade but will entertain offers. Has insane QO. Would mean bad things for sales and roster morale if he was removed.

Lmfao. Moving from a round and half on picks that practically have the same percentage of success isn't weaponizing cap space, it's wasting it.

No team should do that trade, including Arizona or Chicago lol, it's absolutely trash.

16th for murray and 7th, along with murray retention is weaponizing cap space. Too bad murray said no. Love fans think swapping bull poop picks worth throwing the money away.

The fact you think that maximizing value in picks while gaining a serviceable nhl defenseman (even tanking teams need those) is something to scoff at tells me all I need to know about how much you know about how this business works and how much of an utter moron you are.

Comparing a goalie that’s substantially overpaid to a defenseman who’s only moderately overpaid, and for less term, thinking you’re the smartest and then assuming I’m a common fan are also signs of your pure stupidity.
