Romanov won’t sign for that cheap. He had a solid season last year playing over 20 min a night. He finished top 5 in hit among defenseman. He will get paid.

Liljegren just signed for less on a 2 year deal. I could see us locking up Romanov longer term on a ~4 million AAV. But short term he likely gets no more than 2.5M.

This post have been edited since the first offer was 2 years a 950000$ for Romanov. And I totally agree with both short term and long term cap hit. I don’t see him getting much then that.
