Draft is over, looks like the urgency to sign Geno has gone up; not necessarily ruling it out from happening, just has gotten way less likely.

I agree, but there is also pressure on Vancouver to move him now (if contract negotiations aren't going well). Price goes way down at TDL, especially isn't on 100 point pace again. And cap situations are gonna get trickier once UFA starts.

Penguins (until Malkin is acquired) have a need at 2C, Vancouver front office drafted and developed some current Penguins. There is a trade to be made there.

I don't know if Penguins will have best offer, but they do offer the least unknowns to Vancouver.

As I said, I wouldn’t rule it out, just seems like the odds have taken a bit of a plummet at least for US, the PENGUINS to trade for him.
