The Kings don't have the cap space to sign Edler let alone take on Muzzin's full contract. Even if you were to send the Kings your 2023 1st round pick as compensation, the Kings wouldn't be able to do it.

Welcome to CapFriendly.

As a newcomer, you're unaware of the Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles trade proposal's history. This idea has been suggested about 8,000 times and every single time, every single Los Angeles fan commenting and half of your fellow Toronto fans commenting have pointed out the many reasons why this is an absolutely awful idea for the Kings. For one thing, we don't have the cap space for him even at 50% retention; for another, we're looking for a young #1 LD with term, not a veteran of dubious on-ice ability two years from retirement. There are other reasons, too.

Similarly, the Stolarz-for-Holl trade has been proposed on numerous occasions. A rebuilding team like Anaheim isn't about to trade one of the better backup goalies in the League for one year of Justin Holl. For one thing, at the end of this season, we might well want to re-sign Stolarz, which would be a practical impossibility if we trade him; there's almost no chance whatsoever that we'd want to re-sign Holl.

Keep trying!

Real leafs fans that watch ever game know STROME is the exact opposite type of player the leafs need. He had 11 hits last season, he plays a foot shorter and 50 pounds lighter than he is. Why would the leafs want another none physical guy?
