Talbot doesn’t go for anything less than what Fleury got last year (conditional 2nd that turns into a 1st if you make the conference finals).

I should have commented that it should be for any team, Pagnotta reported that teams are calling on Kerfoot and Holl. I just thought that he would be a perfect fit for the Sabres since it will be hard to attract players wanting to go to Buffalo

Please come up with a different idea than “nobody wants to play in Buffalo.“ It’s a tired take, especially if it’s just because Matt Murray didn’t want to be traded here (and the trade wasn’t about him for Buffalo). It’s everyone’s running joke that any player with a no trade clause has Buffalo on it, well Eric Staal didn’t. Plenty of players have waived their no trade clauses to come to Buffalo too.

No, it's always been the case (ROR, Eichel) and Murray blocked a trade to Buffalo

And Jeff Skinner, Wayne Simmonds, and Robyn Regehr all waived no trade clauses to come to Buffalo. Contrary to common place anti-Buffalo BS players who do come to Buffalo love it here and don’t want to leave. There are definitely worse places a guy can end up.
