Reimers not a bad goalie and the Oilers are desperate. It might seem like an overpay but if they are forced to sign a 5-6 mil goalie they don't to get to upgrade any of their skaters.

Strome isn’t expected to be qualified, don’t think it’s a good idea to give up a 2nd for that

Grier also gave the perception at the draft that they want to keep all 3 goalies, that will likely drive the price of any of their goalies up

It wouldn't let me add him as a free agent yet. The idea is he signs as a FA for a cheaper contract to boost his numbers with McD for 2-3 years.
