Took a quick look and since the draft there has been exactly 1 ACGM from a Chicago fan trading Kane to BUF out of like 75 posts. Seems like BUF fans want it a lot more than CHI

They definitely do and I am not sure why. While Patrick Kane is a great player, he wouldn't be cheap and we would have to give up picks/prospects to acquire him whereas they could just wait until free agency to sign him. Plus he has a history of bad behavior in Buffalo. I am sure he has grown up since then but it is still a cause for concern.

I am mad at my own fanbase for all of these trades.

A small segment of Sabres fans who live in South Buffalo.

It's been constant for years on here, regardless of who the fan is.

Kane holds all the power, he goes where he wants or stays, Chicago knows it and other GM's know it. If he's moved, not many teams can afford him even with retention. Plus there's stuff going around that he told them he would only waive for 2 places, and Buffalo is one of them. They are not gonna get the haul they probably should.

But he can't just force his way to Buffalo. I understand all of the connections in terms of where he is from, Buffalo has room, they have assets, but Adams has shown he is going to be patient and not rush a single thing. I find it hard to believe they would move anything of significance to acquire him, especially now that they used all three of their firsts.

I totally agree and personally wouldn't do it. But it would sell tickets and could be a springboard for other FA to come to Buffalo. Sabres are pretty close, the cupboards are pretty stocked. A little more growth and a couple key moves and in 2yrs there gonna be a real tough team to play against.

He can't force anything, but he can turn everything down and force Chicago to lose him at the end of his contract for nothing, look at the Taylor Hall from last year. No matter what Chicago isn't getting anywhere near value for Kane unless he says to start shopping him around. Best case for Chicago is Kane plays until the deadline and Kane agrees to waive to 5 teams and lets them bid for his services. Chicago put themselves in a horrible spot here. They should have kept Cat, the Dach trade was good, but the Seth Jones trade is going to set that franchise back for another 3 years.
