Chytil as our 3rd line centre

Created by: Angusc
Team: 2022-23 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 11, 2022
Published: Jul. 11, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Saw an interesting opinion about Chytil if he is moved for the right price based on his performance overall. The Canucks acquire Chytil if the Rangers decide that they don't like his play throughout his time with the Rangers. And they want a close to ready prospect with potential upside such as Linus Karlsson instead. Chytil would be a solid option to fill our 3rd line centre role. Fair overall?

Chytil is a career 20-25 point scorer. I’m not impressed at all

"Saw an interesting opinion about Chytil if he is moved for the right price based on his performance overall"

... that package is "the right price" to you...?

Drury seems to enjoy his job, that would be a really hard no. Unless someone named Linus is indeed the next Crosby or something

Yes, because an average 3C should definitely return someone who’s the next Crosby

Wouldn't it make more sense to build a deal out of Chytil for JT Miller then? Not saying one for one, but if Vancouver likes him, and the Rangers are looking to replace at least one out of Andrew Copp/Ryan Strome, it feels like a natural start to a trade package to me.

Guess that's a yes then based on getting rid of James salary while taking on Pearson's additional year
