More delusional than the habs fans who thought Anderson/Dvorak were worth the 7th overall

I doubt OTT does this.

Pinto and JBD would be a steep price for them to offload Murray, especially seeing as you've already retained.

I also don't want Murray.

Brown is a real good asset . Getting him with Murray retained is already too much. You’re not getting any prospect unless you’re sending back someone very good

Bad deal for Sens, IMO. Brown and Kerfoot is basically a wash...Holl *isn't* a dump, IMO, but at the same time 1 year of him isn't worth either Pinto or JBD if the Sens are retaining 50%.

Not a wash. Brown is worth a 1st or 2nd and good prospect

tears of joy Hahha, I feel like it's pretty rare that you and I disagree in multiple threads at the same time! Kerfoot and Brown's numbers are hilariously similar, with recency bias pointing to Kerfoot.

Brown has been 50pts/82 games pace last 3 years. Kerfoot has been propped up playing with really good players. Brown is heavily deployed defensively and kills a lot of penalties and great at takeaways. I wouldn’t feel good at all if the Sens swapped them

I mean, I'm not in the swap them camp, because I don't think either should be in the deal. What I'm saying is that they're pretty comparable. I feel like the whole "propped up by playing with really good players" thing is a slight stretch, given that he was pretty much doing the same thing on a very "meh" Avs team from 17-19. I feel like an unbiased look at both would show you that they're very similar players.

Brown gets more in a trade imo.

There is no fan base more delusional than the Habs base, we're close as Leafs but mostly we just try to get more but fully understand the actual value of our players

Murray will be a leaf by the end of the week, it's what we do, we aquire players that have underperformed with injury history surround them with talent rehab them and then watch Edmonton pay them way too much money in a year or two and do it all over again

Yeah, I mean, he could...I don't know...I wouldn't be going crazy trading for either of them. At the same time, I don't think I'd be super concerned either way since it would be weird to be attempting to contend, and then flipping around to move a depth piece for picks when said depth piece would actually be what you need to help make that playoff push.

Brown will be moved for full cap relief for futures so ottawa can sign Giroux. And he would be replaced by Greig if Formenton is also traded. Joseph is also pushed to the 3rd line

I feel like we should just shake hands and move on, old pal. Cheers!

Moving on: Nordberg was probably a safe pick. Thoughts on him?

tears of joy Hahah, yeah, I saw some clips of him the other day and the kid is friggin' massive. I wanted the Ducks to end up with Lamoureux, not because he's excellent, but because he's built like friggin' Lebron.

Agreed. GMPV and Martin Madden had a serious hard on for the Q guys this year-took the top 3 ranked prospects (Lamoureux was 4th).

I wanted Luneau at 42, and was a bit miffed when Warren went above him, but it all worked out in the end tears of joy

Yeah worked out. Now one of them should have a chance of being a 2nd pair Dman. Meanwhile ottawa took like 4 LDs and 0 RD 🤣

Yeah, Ducks draft was a biiiiit weird...top 4 picks were probably pretty safe...nice to see GMPV immediately shed Bob Murray's "Never draft a Russian (Picked 1 in the years since Bryz was picked...wild...)"
